Established in 2002 the 'Brentford FC Supporters' Club of Norway' have seen some of The Bees' highs and lows.
Founder Robin Hesmyr started working towards a Norwegian based fangroup and fanzine during the 1995-96 season butstruggling with the old school typewriter and drawing of the Brentford club logo (as seen below) had to wait a few years down the road before technology was more helpful.
In 2002 the fan group was officially established (even though the founder was the only member for a while) and the fanzine was finally published.
Soon the first members joined and the group slowly gained members from around Norway. In 2003 we had our first trip toGriffin Park to meet up with Peter Gilham, present our Player of the season award to (then) goalkeeper Paul Smith, and this was the start of a tradition every year since. Check out our website to see more.
We now count approximately 100 paying members with even more freebees in our Facebook group.
Each year, normally connected to the last home match of the season, we arrange a joint trip to Brentford for our members where we get to try out a lot of great pubs, restaurants and not at least visit the training ground to meet and greet our heroes.
We even have a 'Martin Allen trophy' (which is usually a bottle of Norwegian vodka) named after our previous manager after he nicked the bottle from the player it was meant for. Since then, this "trophy" has been given to the manager.
If you would like to join please get in touch via email or look us up on facebook.
Up the Bees!
