Defender Kristoffer Ajer praised the club's medical team for helping him get back to full fitness, after he featured in Brentford's FA Cup defeat to West Ham United.
The centre-back, who has been out of action since the end of October, returned to the starting XI for the Bees' 1-0 cup loss to the Hammers.
And Ajer said it was great to be back playing with his team-mates, who he has been watching from the stands over the last couple of months.
“It's been a very frustrating few weeks. I was very unlucky in training, I got a tweak in my knee," he said.
“But I have to say the medical department have been fantastic since I came here, I've been a little bit unlucky, but the work they put in every single day has really put me in a good place to come back.
“Unfortunately we couldn't get the win and go through today, but it was at least nice to be back out there.”
When asked what it's been like to not be involved while the team have been in good form on the pitch, he added: “To be honest, it's better sitting there when the team are doing well!
"They’re a great bunch of lads, you’re friends with everyone, so you love seeing them do well.
"It's been a pleasure to watch them do well and, hopefully, I can also play my part when I’m needed.”

On the defeat at the Gtech Community Stadium, Ajer said he was 'disappointed' that Brentford didn't progress to the fourth round, especially after having the majority of possession on Saturday evening.
“I think we dominated much of the ball, but we couldn't really create the big chances," Ajer stated.
“Then they scored a wonder-goal, you have to give credit to Benrahma to finish that, but obviously we're disappointed not to go through.”
