Brentford midfielder Vitaly Janelt said he had mixed emotions after the Bees' 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Janelt scored Brentford's opening goal of the game against Spurs, but admitted it was disappointing to draw the game after being 2-0 up in the Premier League clash.
He stated: "On one side, we're a bit disappointed, on the other side, I think before the game we would have taken a point.
“We knew, especially after the [Manchester] City game, everyone was excited after the World Cup break, we'd done well to make it 2-0 but, after that, I think we gave it a bit away.
"But, at the end of the day, I think we’ll take a point against Tottenham at home.”
Janelt’s strike - his second of the season - came after just 15 minutes, as he poked home from close range after good work from midfield partner Mathias Jensen.

When talking through his goal, the German highlighted the importance of Christian Norgaard’s return to the starting XI in allowing him and Jensen to get forward and make it 1-0.
On his goal, Janelt said: “You always have to follow through, no matter what happens, so I thought, after the deflection, maybe.
“Matty struck it, there were some deflections, and then I kneed it in - it was a nice goal.”
He added: “I think I said to someone during the training camp in Spain that these were the best goals because someone scored one like it in training. Now it was my turn!”
When asked about Norgaard’s return to the team, Janelt said: “Before, I took Christian’s position when he was injured, now he's back as a number six and I was a bit higher as a number eight - I can play there as well.
“Especially with Matty’s runs, as you saw today, I think it gives us a bit more licence to follow through.
“I've been at the club long enough and I think I know what they want, especially the gaffer. Of course, it's a bit different - as an eight you have to go higher and press a bit more.
“As a six, especially today, we had to stay around [Heung-min] Son and [Harry] Kane a bit more, close them down. It was a bit difficult, but I think we did okay.”
