The Bees saw defeat on their first game of the LSE Division One North season on Sunday 27 August against Ashmount Leigh. Despite a positive display in the opening stages of the game, the side found themselves 2-0 down at half time but two second-half goals from Chloe Logie pulled the Bees back into the contest. Brentford had all the momentum heading into the final 15 minutes of the game, but a mistake allowed Ashmount Leigh to secure a late winner at Meadowbank Football Ground.

About Hackney Women
Hackney finished eighth in LSE Division One North last season with the side picking up 22 points from 20 games. Hackney, who offer a physical presence played the Bees twice last season with Brentford picking up a narrow 1-0 win in the first meeting in October 2022. Both sides then played out a competitive 2-2 draw in their final clash of last season back in March.
The B team are also in action on Sunday as they face Impact at Hackney Marshes Centre in a 2pm kick-off.
